You can find it here: 96.61.34.249:27015

Let's get this thing poppin'!

Jupiter Hit by Large Object, NASA Says

(AP)  Astronomers say Jupiter has apparently been struck by an object, possibly a comet.

Images taken by NASA early Monday show a scar in the atmosphere near the south pole of the gas giant.
The images, taken by the space agency's infrared telescope in Hawaii, come on the 15th anniversary of another comet strike.
In 1994, Jupiter was bombarded by pieces of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9.
Scientists at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena captured the new images after receiving a tip from an amateur astronomer the night before.

Apparently NASA isn't aware of the magnitude of Uzimonkey's sticky jumping abilities. Rumor has it a broken bottle of booze was found floating in Jupiter's orbit and strange red matter was scattered throughout the area.

Feels good around here

The last couple days have gone pretty smooth. No lag spikes, which is nice. We've installed a lot of new security features and adjusted the servers firewall to block a few ip's that we believe could have been causing the problems. Hopefully we're in the clear on that.

As usual there's always SOME problems going on. Sometimes our server drops everyone when the map changes, this is something that has been going on for a while on and off. I'm almost certain it's either a plugin or something I'm overlooking but please be patient and just rejoin when this happens. It's one of the next bugs to squash on my list.

I also think I'll be bringing the logo contest to an end in the next day or two. I want to move on and wrap it up. Our staff will review what we have and pick our favorite. I may adjust some parts of the chosen submission to fit the site better but we appreciate all of the submissions and I'll post them all on a forum or image gallery in the near future so everyone's artwork is shown. Thanks again everyone!

And now possibly the BIGGEST news. This thursday the network that the rotation server is on will be nearly tripling it's bandwidth making it WAY better for having large groups of people playing there. If it all goes well I hope to have it all back up and going this weekend or early next week. It's IP is likely to change but will not change again after that. w00t!!!!!

Well, crap.

Well as most of you probably already are aware, our "lag problem" has followed us yet again.

At this point we're pretty sure we're just getting DOS attacks against us from an as of yet unknown source. If you know anything about this please contact a Jupiter admin so we can address the situation. What they are doing is not only ruining our fun, it's costing us money, time, and sanity. If you happen to BE the person(s) doing this. I ask you to stop before we find you and contact the authorities and believe me, I will be contacting the authorities.
